To ensure that people belonging to the economically weaker sections get meals at a highly subsidised rate, the Rajasthan government will be providing fresh and nutritious meals for Rs 8 from August 20, Thursday. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot today launched the “Indira Rasoi Yojana” to provide quality nutritious meals to the downtrodden section of society.

A thali will have 100 gms of pulses, 100 gms of vegetables, 250 gms chapatti and pickles. Keeping in view the requirements of the locals, the administration has said that the menu can be altered as recommended by the district-level committees.
